Single joint elevators are designed and manufactured according to API Spec 8A-Specification for Drilling and Production Hoisting Equipment. The elevators are hoisting tools for handling casing and etc in oil and gas field.

Single joint elevator can be devised into SJ type ,SP type and SJX, SJ type is used in handling single casing or tubing,while the SP type is mainly used same tubular but with taper shoulders.
